I love to travel! There is something to be said about getting out of your routine and regular environment to spur on new ideas and get inspired. I can actually think better in a relaxing location!
I’m very lucky to live in Southern California because when it comes to weekend getaways, there are many choices for nearby travel. This past Labor Day weekend, the traditional end of summer, called for a driving trip to Palm Springs.
If you have never been to the desert, it’s quite a unique experience. The air is just different; the cicadas are singing at night, and the pool temperatures are just right. Even though the heat is soaring, up to 114 degrees at one point, discovering new restaurants and hanging out at the Tiki Bar is my favorite pastime!
My favorite places, at the moment, are Bar Cecil (Michelin star), Farm, The Chicken Ranch, and Bootleggers.
